Spend the afternoon at Hayburn Wyke. This is one of a few photos of the many mini waterfalls in the river.

Its a delightful and secluded bay 6 miles north of Scarborough. The surrounding woodland is protected as a nature reserve and managed by the National Trust and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.

Hayburn Wyke is a spectacular hidden place of beauty 6 miles north of Scarborough. It became a particularly popular picnic spot in Victorian days with the coming of the Whitby to Scarborough railway line. Nowadays, apart from when visited by walkers, it is relatively quiet.

Enjoy.

Hard to fault so I won't. Lovely lead in lines and again good treatment of the water

The blur is really neat and the movement creates a flow and leads us through the photo. When I first look my eyes travel to the back and then lead me up and down to the lower left corner. There's also a nice balance between textures of the surrounding forest which coincide with the water well- great balance between smooth and rough.
