Hayburn Wyke is a spectacular hidden place of beauty 6 miles north of Scarborough. It became a particularly popular picnic spot in Victorian days with the coming of the Whitby to Scarborough railway line. Nowadays, apart from when visited by walkers, it is relatively quiet.
